New York City, 2022

Earlier this year I got to travel to New York to speak at KGC’22 and present some of the knowledge graph work we’ve been doing at Vouch to understand the startup ecosystem. You can check out the recorded version of our presentation here.

After the conference, Hannah joined me and we stayed through the weekend. There’s a mix of film, both B&W and color, as well as digital shots from the trip below.

The conference was at the Cornell Tech campus in Roosevelt Island, which gave me a new angle from which to see the city.

The oyster bar at Grand Central.

When the conference ended we moved from Midtown down to the Bowery.

We went to the Whitney.

Ah yes, the trash.

We picked up bánh mì at a random restaurant before heading to the airport. This guy insisted it was the best Vietnamese shop in the city.

A glaring omission in this post is the lack of photos of the Jewish Lower East Side spots we visited. It was raining a lot, so there’s no photos of the Tenement Museum, nor the amazing food we got at Russ & Daughters or Katz’s Deli. I can’t walk around Delancey or Canal streets and not hear my dad talking about his dad’s business trips to NYC walking those same streets.
