Work Travel: Chicago and Columbus

A short post from two work trips to the Midwest this fall. We had a full company offsite at the end of September, followed by an engineering management team specific one in November.

There’s a mix of film (Fuji Superia 400, still too green for my taste) and digital shots.

A Chicago classic.

Most of my team and I walked from our hotel to Navy Pier for a boat party. It was kind of cool to be able to be their tour guide.

The views from the boat…

…were pretty great.

I’m shamelessly copying Leo here.

Probably my favorite of the trip.

I met up with Maduro and Kathleen for drinks before dinner. I got soaked.

Then in November I went to Columbus. I stayed in the Short North, near the convention center.

I found the number of galleries pretty odd.

After walking around a bit, I got some pizza.

This guy saw me taking photos and asked if I could take one of him. His name is Rigo.

The hotel had a cool inner courtyard.

Downtown Columbus is full of concrete and brutalist architecture.

Sadly, I didn’t have much time to explore, and these are all the Columbus pics.
